Low-Sloped (Flat) Roof Systems
Providing Low-Sloped Roof Systems for Kentucky and Beyond
Installing and maintaining low-sloped roof systems isn’t a task you should trust just any roofing contractor with. As one of Kentucky’s first certified roofing contractors specializing in low-sloped roofs, choose Commonwealth Roofing Corp. for a valuable roofing solution you can trust.
No roof systems today are designed to be absolutely flat – they are all designed with some pitch so that water will flow to drains or gutters. So, what most people refer to as “flat” we in the industry call “low-sloped”. Low-sloped roofs can’t depend on water to flow in any particular direction, so the surface requires a watertight, monolithic membrane that stays watertight all the way to the drains or gutter edge. Steep-sloped roofs, on the other hand, depend on gravity to direct water to flow in a particular direction and “shed” over the roof’s breaks and fasteners in the shingles until it flows to the edge.
As one of Kentucky’s first KRCA Certified roofing contractors, Commonwealth Roofing is authorized to install, repair, and maintain low and steep-sloped roofs for residential homes and commercial buildings. We have experience working with roofing materials from top manufacturers, such as GAF, TAMKO, Carlisle, and Duro-Last®.
The Commonwealth team is well-versed in different types of roofing materials for flat roof systems. Our certified team provides a well-engineered attachment that’s equipped with seaming, weathering, and watertight characteristics to create a durable roofing system that withstands high winds, freeze-thaw cycles, and UV radiation.
