Annual Maintenance: Regular Roof Maintenance Means Longer Roof Life

You probably don’t give much thought to the roof over your head. But the fact is your roof protects your building, your inventory, your equipment . . . even your company’s productivity. A small puncture or worn flashing might cost just a few dollars to correct if caught in time. But when problems go undetected, water damage can ruin an entire roof system . . . not to mention all the equipment and inventory beneath it.

At Commonwealth, we are keenly aware of the value of roof maintenance. That’s why we’ve developed our 1-2-3 Maintenance Program. In three simple steps we give your roof the proper preventive care it needs to ensure that small roof problems don’t become major expenses and headaches. We schedule regular inspections of your roof and perform routine maintenance for a set fee, alerting you to any need for further work while the problems are still in their “molehill” stage.

Step 1 – By researching your existing roof history and doing a thorough on-site survey, we utilize our GPS web-based roof analysis technology to thoroughly and efficiently compile pertinent facts about your roof system. From that we develop a detailed record for each building or major section of roof with photos and notes keyed to a scale roof drawing.Step 2 – On a regular basis, usually twice a year, we then do a detailed inspection of your building and roof system to detect any signs of trouble at their earliest stages. All defects are documented, photographed and referenced to the scale drawing developed in Step 1. At the same time we also perform maintenance chores such as cleaning debris from drains and doing minor repairs.

Step 3 – Our Inspection Results and Recommendations for alleviating any problems are detailed in your Condition Assessment Report.

The RoofersSM at Commonwealth Roofing are trained to find trouble spots and fix them if possible before extensive damage occurs. With early detection of leaks, water accumulation and damaged insulation, our 1-2-3 Maintenance Program can help identify and avoid potential disasters and save you thousands of dollars.

A good roof maintenance program is crucial to the smooth and steady operation of any business. That’s why building owners and managers everywhere have learned that regular roof maintenance means longer roof life. The cost is small, but staying in touch with your roof’s condition can yield a substantial return.
